Drew Barrymore - Drew Barrymore And Will Kopelman Adopt Reed's Foster Puppy

Reed and her new husband, former American Idol contestant Paul MCDonald, took in a litter earlier this month (Jan12) after they were dumped at an animal shelter in Los Angeles.

The dogs were then taken in by Shannon von Roemer, the owner of Bark N' Bitches - and one lucky pup, named Biscuit, caught the eye of Barrymore and Kopelman after they paid a visit to the rescue pet store on Sunday (29Jan12).

Von Roemer tells WENN, "I know they were interested in the little boy puppy all along, but they wanted to come in and get a sense of the dog's personality and make sure it would get along with their other dog."

And von Roemer is full of praise for the couple for choosing to adopt a rescue dog instead of a pure breed.

She says, "That is just who Drew is - she has always been an amazing advocate for shelter dogs and I am just so proud that she chose to adopt a puppy from my store!"

And Reed is also thrilled the pup has found a good home, tweeting, "The boy puppy named Biscuit got adopted today!!!!"
