Drake - Drake Album Leaked, 'Take Care' Buzz Intensifies
Drake's hugely anticipated second album 'Take Care' leaked online this week, 7 days ahead of its official release. Although the rapper would have been hoping to emulate Jay Z and Kanye West - who kept their Watch the Throne collaboration under wraps until its release - Drake told fans to enjoy the songs.
Initially, two BLAZE-produced tracks leaked online on Sunday (6th November 2011), 'Lord Knows', featuring Rick Ross and the record's title track featuring Rihanna. However, the entire album soon followed and was readily available within minutes. Although 'Take Care' is considered one of the biggest releases of the year, Drake seemed unperturbed by the leak, telling Twitter followers, "I am not sure if the album leaked. But if it did thank god it doesn't happen a month early anymore.Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it...and take care until next time". Despite the leak, the buzz surrounding the album appears to have intensified, with track names trending on social networking sites and fans giving their first thoughts on the record, which also features Nicki Minaj and Stevie Wonder.
The 25-year-old claims to have been the main creative force behind all elements of Take Care, telling MTV News, "That's one of the biggest stories behind this album, it's either my way or we're not doing it - in everything.Every photo shoot, every video, every step I'm taking I feel like I've earned the right to do it my way, so part of doing it my way I want you to see who I am really around".
