Fans of Downton Abbey will have the chance to stay the night at a new hotel in the grounds of the English country estate where the hit British show is filmed.

Many scenes for the acclaimed series are shot at Highclere Castle in Hampshire, England, and on 13 February (15), an on-site hotel called the London Lodge will open its doors.

According to Conde Nast Traveler magazine, the 1793 property has been undergoing renovations for the past two and a half years, but the newly-modernised bedrooms will retain their period charm.

Prices for rooms at the London Lodge start at $540 (£350) per night.
