Donald Trump - Donald Trump Pulls Out Of Presidential Race
Donald Trump, the outspoken business tycoon and 'Celebrity Apprentice' boss, will not run for President in 2012. Donald Trump has regularly stated his intention to run against Barack Obama next year, but after much deliberation the 64-year-old has officially pulled out of the race to become President of the United States of America.
In a statement released today (16th May 2011), Trump noted that despite ranking at the top of Republican contender polls across the country, he has decided not to run for office. The billionaire businessman said he was confident that had he have run, he would have ousted Obama from the White House, saying, "I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half heartedly". Donald went on to thank the "millions of Americans" who had joined the "Trump grassroots movements" and said he would continue to push President Obama on the "dire challenges" that the country faced. Trump specifically noted that "getting tough on China" was amongst the country's priorities, claiming that the eastern country was "taking advantage" of the United States.
Donald Trump fired the American rock singer Meat Loaf and the rapper Lil Jon on last night's edition of 'Celebrity Apprentice'.
