Dolly Parton Sends A Special Message To New Mum Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson was given a special treat during an appearance on the debut of U.S. newswoman Katie Couric's new daytime talk show - a message from her idol Dolly Parton.
The country star recorded a video message for the singer and reality TV star, congratulating her on becoming a first-time mum.
The Jolene singer said, "I'm so proud of you for everything that's going on good for you, and that baby is absolutely beautiful; I can't wait to see her in person. (She's) pretty like her mama."
The TV appearance on Katie was Simpson's first since she became a mum to daughter Maxwell Drew in May (12).
