Cops pulled over Joe's vehicle at around 10pm, and immediately determined that Joe was intoxicated. He was handcuffed at the scene and taken to the cells, where he remained until 9.41am the following day. It's an embarrassing episode for Joe, who presides over his daughter's hugely successful career as her manager. The case has not been sent to prosecutors in the Los Angeles Attorney's Office yet, though if criminal charges are filed, it's likely that Joe will avoid jail time as it's his first offense (though he'll face a pretty hefty fine). A representative for Jessica Simpson did not respond to a request for comment and Joe is yet to publically comment on his arrest.
