However the singer didn't mention that her co-star looks surprisingly similar to the Maroon 5 man, who plays Swift's desperately clingy ex in the video. So, with speculation about just who the song is about, the question on everyone's lips right now is, 'Did Taylor Swift and Adam Levine secretly date?'

The already massively successful break-up anthem's official video is released today, woodland critters and all, although an animated video has existed online since mid-August. The song is the first single from the country star's long awaited album Red, which is due to be released on October 22nd this year.
