'Doctor Who' fans are going to be able to fly the TARDIS in a new interactive exhibition.

The 'Doctor Who Experience' will allow visitors to pilot The Time Machine and also fight the Time Lord's arch-enemies the Daleks when it opens at London's Olympia on Sunday February 20, 2011.

The attraction will feature a unique walk-through which lets people 'step through' a crack in time and join The Doctor as his companion and experience the 'Doctor Who' universe for themselves in 3-D.

Matt Smith - who plays the Eleventh Doctor in the BBC one sci-fi series - has also recorded a number of new and exclusive scenes for the attraction and admits he can't wait for it to open.

He said: "The whole concept of the 'Doctor Who Experience', which will give fans a chance to star in their very own 'Doctor Who' adventure, is massively exciting! I hope as many people as possible enjoy boarding the TARDIS next year to embark upon an exhilarating and sometimes terrifying adventure through time and space."

The 'Doctor Who Experience' will also a feature an exhibition celebrating the show's incredible history from its first series in 1963 up until the current season.

Fans will be able to get up close to monsters, props and costumes from the classic series, including the TARDIS that Fourth Doctor Tom Baker piloted and the Pandorica Box from the programme's last run.

There will also be different versions of Cybermen, Silurians and Daleks to see and a Zygon alien and an Ice Warrior - from the 1967 Second Doctor adventure 'The Ice Warriors'.

Steven Moffat, Executive Producer and head writer of 'Doctor Who', said: "'The Doctor Who Experience' will be the first time that 'Doctor Who' artefacts from all the show's 47-year history - classic and new - will be on display together, many of them being seen for the first time. And never mind that, this is the day The Doctor teaches you how to fly the TARDIS through time and space, and takes you into battle with all his deadliest enemies in a Brand New adventure."

The 'Doctor Who Experience' will launch in London before eventually relocating to a permanent home in Cardiff, Wales, in 2012.
