Dmx Headlines U.s. Tour After Prison Spell
The hip-hop star, real name Earl Simmons, is serving time at Tent City Jail for drug possession, animal cruelty and theft.
DMX was jailed for a total of 90 days in jail, plus an additional 18 months of supervised probation for his various convictions, and is due to be released on 30 April (09).
And he doesn't plan to be out of the limelight for too long - he will join fellow hip-hop stars Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Rampage, and Rah Digga on the nationwide tour, which runs in the U.S. from June to August (09).
An international jaunt is expected to follow from September to December. It is not known if DMX will be part of these tour dates.
But the rapper will have to be on his best behaviour to ensure he is released later this month (Apr09) - he was forced to deny reports he attacked a prison officer in his Atlanta jail cell earlier this year (09).
