Djimon Hounsou - Djimon Hounsou Slams Cheating Rumours

The couple has been at the centre of split rumours, with the New York Daily News claiming their relationship hit the rocks following arguments about money.

Editors at the publication subsequently ran a story suggesting Hounsou had an affair with Egyptian author Kola Boof behind his wife's back, but he's now spoken out to silence the claims.

In a statement to GlobalGrind.com, he says, "It has come to my attention vicious lies and stories are being spread about myself and my family...

"To that extent any and all claims are totally fabricated and for the press to be spreading these lies is irresponsible on their part. I am a man of integrity and would never betray my wife or my family."

However, the Blood Diamond star failed to confirm that he and his wife are still together.

The pair held a traditional commitment ceremony in his native Benin in 2008, and has a son.
