Voice actress Ginny Tyler has passed away at the age of 86.
She died of natural causes at a nursing home in Issaquah, Washington on 13 July (12).
Tyler, who was born in Seattle, launched a career in entertainment during the 1930s as the co-host of radio show Make Believe Island and she later moved into the world of movies, voicing characters in such Disney classics as Bambi, Mary Poppins and The Sword in the Stone, as well as animated TV series Davey and Goliath.
In 1963 she became the head Mouseketeer of hit U.S. show The Mickey Mouse Club and she later voiced the role of Polynesia the Parrot in the film Dr. Dolittle.
She was inducted into the Disney Legends programme in 2006.
