Tom Tykwer - Director Tom Tykwer Will Be Feted At Zurich Film Festival

The star will be feted with screenings of his works Run Lola Run, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Winter Sleepers and Heaven during the annual event, which will take place from 20 to 30 September (12).

Tykwer, who served triple duty as writer, producer and director of his new film Cloud Atlas, will also turn lecturer to conduct a master class for budding filmmakers on 28 September (12).

Cloud Atlas, starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, is based on author David Mitchell's 2004 adventure novel of the same name and is due to be released this autumn (12).

Actors Richard Gere and John Travolta and Ocean's Eleven producer Jerry Weintraub are also among the previously-announced honourees at the 2012 festival.
