Dio's Widow To Revive Hear 'N Aid Project
The Band Aid-style project, organised by Dio and dubbed Hear 'N Aid, featured 40 artists from the heavy metal community who recorded tracks at A&M Records Studios in Hollywood.
Recorded in four months, the album was released at the beginning of 1986 on audio cassette and vinyl only, and now the late Dio's manager/wife Wendy is hoping to revamp the recordings for a CD release - and offer rock fans the chance to own the Dvd featuring the documentary about how the project came together.
She tells Blabbermouth.net, "I'm going to re-release it, so it'll come out on Dvd and CD. I have loads of outtakes for the video."
