Dionne Warwick Issued Apology After Tax Blunder
Dionne Warwick has been issued an apology by the U.S. government's Internal Revenue Service after staff went public with incorrect tax debts.
A federal tax lien was filed in 2009 suggesting the Walk on By singer owed more than $2 million (£1.2 million) in taxes, but the bill has now been retracted by officials, reports Tmz.com.
Accounting mistake has been blamed for the blunder and the government agency has now issued Warwick with a request for the corrected amount of just under $1 million (£632,751).
