Too Distracted By Personal Life? Why Might Tulisa Get The Boot From X Factor?

Wot, no Tulisa? Apparently not, as it looks though the former N Dubz star has been axed from X Factor. In a bid to boost the show’s ailing ratings, the Mirror reports, the show’s rather ruthless boss, Simon Cowell has shown Tulisa Contostavlos the door. Apparently, Tulisa – who became embroiled in a sex tape scandal last year – was “too distracted” by her own personal life to fully engage with the show and turned up late to a number of rehearsals, a show insider told the paper.

“Simon has always like to change things every year and Tulisa is going to pay the price for that,” said the source, who revealed that the singer wasn’t as committed to the show last year as she had ben the previous season, when she guided Little Mix to victory. The final judging lineup is currently unclear. According to the report, Simon Cowell is keen to hold onto Louis Walsh, despite ITV being keen to remove him from the show. Gary Barlow didn’t seem keen on staying on, at the end of last year’s season, though ITV are reportedly keen for him to remain on the books. In fact, the only certainty appears to be Nicole Scherzinger, who is almost guaranteed a return spot, it would seem. She won the show last year with James Arthur and has been “verbally” offered a place on the judging panel.

Tulisa’s spokesperson said the reports of her being sacked were “pure speculation” though it is not thought that Tulisa is aware of the show producers’ plans just yet.
