Did Demi Lovato Really Need Three Gowns For Teen Choice Awards?

Demi Lovato made sure she was in the mix for 'Best Dressed' at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (July 22, 2012), by giving herself three chances to win! In fairness to the X Factor judge, she was in contention for numerous awards while also hosting the event, so was probably entitled to make three separate costumes changes.

The singer arrived on the red carpet in Universal City, California, sporting a beaded and feathered creation with sky-high heels and a long ponytail. The outfit seemed to go down well, though halfway through the show, she changed into a black and white creation with a bright yellow waistline and chunky necklace. The second outfit also seemed to go down pretty well on Twitter, though it was Lovato's third ensemble that won the most plaudits - a black dress with exposed midriff, covered with a studded leather jacket. Something that initially confused fans was her changing hair (the ends of which turned from pink to blue) though according to MTV News, she had visited the Nine Zero One salon earlier in the weekend to get 'ombre colour', which fades into different colours.

There were big wins for Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez at the award ceremony at the Gibson Amphitheatre, while Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 and The Hunger Games cleaned up in the movie categories.
