Diane Birch's 'Granny' Style
Singer and songwriter Diane Birch has revealed her signature look switches between ''granny'', ''masculine'' and ''rock and roll''.
Diane Birch is a "little bit of a granny" when it comes to her style choices.
The singer-songwriter - who recently toured with Nick Jonas and his side project Nick Jonas and the Administration - admitted her clothing collection is a mixture of everything, from gypsy to masculine to rock and roll.
She told vogue.com: "My style is basically a black mixture of masculine/feminine/old/new, a little bit gypsy, a little bit granny, a little bit rock and roll with a dash of street.
"I'm thinking a silent film starring Coco Chanel and Charlie Chaplin featuring music by Patti Smith with special appearance by Annie Hall."
Diane, 27, also revealed how she developed an affinity with one item of clothing in particular when she was younger.
She said: "I've been wearing hats since I was about eight when I developed an addiction to berets. They looked great with my perm."
But the 'Bible Belt' hitmaker revealed that while she is no longer as obsessed with hats, she feels naked if she goes out without wearing jewellery.
She stated: "I still cannot live without my jewellery. I wear loads and feel naked without it. I couldn't cope without my black linen boyfriend jacket either - it's a bit oversized and makes any outfit, no matter how casual, a little bit more chic.
"I also don't travel without a black hat or my massive Alexander Wang duffle bag which holds everything and more."
