Dia Frampton Jealous Of 'The Voice' Star Xenia
DIA FRAMPTON, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter and contestant on reality singing contest 'The Voice', says she is jealous of her rival Xenia despite being tipped as a potential winner of the show. DIA FRAMPTON wowed judges on Tuesday's show with a unique rendition of Rem's 'Losing My Religion'.
Despite being regarded as a potential challenger to frontrunner JAVIER COLON, Dia claims she has nothing on her close friend, telling HollywoodLife.com "Xenia's awesome and I'm jealous of her voice. It's amazing. I feel like if she put out a record tomorrow, I'd buy it". The pair have become increasingly close throughout the competition, with Xenia claiming Frampton is a "big sister figure". Dia echoed the sentiments, saying, "I'm so hesitant because I'm going to be sad if she leaves, I'm going to be sad if I leave and it's just hard". A singer-songwriter from Utah who also writes novels and children's book, Frampton looks likely to make it to the finals of 'The Voice' after a series of impressive performances. The show immediately proved to be a hit following its premiere in May and Nbc recently confirmed the series will be renewed for a second season. The singing contest places increased emphasis on songwriting ability and vocal delivery rather than looks and personality.
During her opening audition, DIA FRAMPTON impressed judges Cee-lo Green and Blake Shelton with her rendition of Colbie Caillat's 'Bubbly'.
