Fashion designer Alfred Fiandaca has died at the age of 72.
Fiandaca passed away in New York on Saturday (09Feb13) after suffering a stroke.
His designs were worn by a number of notable stars including Audrey Hepburn, Dame Julie Andrews and Anita Baker.
Fiandaca was also famous for dressing politicians' wives: he created outfits for Nancy Reagan and was favoured by Ann Romney during her husband Mitt's bid for the U.S. presidency last year (12).
Taking to Twitter.com to pay tribute to her pal, Ann wrote, "Heartbroken over the loss of my dear friend Alfred Fiandaca. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loving family and dedicated staff."
The film will be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe led by a person of colour.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
Rock legend Eric Clapton has admitted the era of the guitar may be ''over''.
Following his success with 'The Force Awakens', the director will close out the trilogy.
