Depp To Boycott Public Appearances?

Johnny Depp has threatened to boycott public appearances, after photographers left a woman injured at the premiere of his latest movie.
Snappers desperate for a prize picture of the star, accidentally toppled a female fan at the New York screening of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street earlier this month (03Dec07).
According to the New York Post, the actor yelled at members of the press, "If you guys can't control yourselves, I won't do public appearances anymore."
The newspaper claims photographers behaved themselves after the threat.

I don't blame him one bit! The paparazzi have gone way too far over the past couple years to the detriment of not only the fans and the performers too. They have become totally out of line. It's become beyond ridiculous. People have criticized Johnny for Living in France and accusing him of being unAmerican. At least in France, he can live a normal, peaceful life. Here in the USA there is no respect for privacy. They need to pass some laws regarding bounderies with those disrespectful photographers!!!
