Depp Pays For Pirate Crew's Winter Jackets
JOHNNY DEPP has showed off his warm and cuddly side by reportedly spending a massive $60,000 (£40,000) on jackets for 500 chilly crew members on the set of the latest PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie.
The actor is reprising his beloved role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fourth installment of the sea-faring franchise, but the film's latest location at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England has left workers feeling the cold in the freezing British weather.
And to stop their shivers, Depp ordered winter coats to be brought in to make the job more comfortable - and paid for the bulk order himself, according to Britain's The Sun.
A source tells the publication, "Johnny paid out of his own pocket for all 500 of us to have a nice warm waterproof. It's a great morale boost and another example of why his is one of the nicest people in Hollywood."
