Denise Richards - Denise Richards Opens Up About Raising Five Kids
Denise Richards has opened up about the difficulties of raising five children as a single mother after taking in her ex-husband Charlie Sheen's twin boys.
Richards is looking after the actor's two-year-old sons, Bob and Max, while their mother Brooke Mueller is in a rehabilitation clinic, and the former Bond girl also has three girls - Sam and Lola by Sheen, and adopted daughter Eloise.
Richards insists she didn't have to think twice about helping Sheen out with his parenting duties, telling Us Weekly magazine, "You just figure it out because you don't have a choice. You have these children depending on you. You prioritise. I had children because I want to be a parent, and I want to be there for them. I think my biggest challenge is their different activities sometimes overlap. I have a good schedule going. You just manage."
The 42 year old also admits her relationship with the former Two and a Half Men star has improved over the years since their divorce in 2006.
She adds, "My situation with Charlie is... so much better. There are a lot of feelings and emotions there, but at the end of the day, our daughters benefit from us getting along, and (I do), too. I don't want to have an unhealthy relationship with him, something toxic with a lot of animosity. Life's too short for that. We actually enjoy hanging out, and we enjoy being with the kids."
