Demi Moore - Demi Moore To Play Activist Steinem In Linda Lovelace Biopic
Demi Moore looks to finally be brushing herself down and getting back on her feet following the heartache of splitting with husband Ashton Kutcher in Autumn of last year, with reports that the 49 year-old actress will be making a cameo appearance in 'Lovelace,' a biopic based on the late adult actress Linda Lovelace.
The film stars Amanda Seyfried, formerly of 'Mean Girls' and star of 2008's 'Mamma Mia!', as Lovelace, while the Press Association reports that 'The OC's' Adam Brody and 'Heroes'' Eric Roberts are also rumoured to be joining the cast with the likes of Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley and Hank Azaria apparently also in talks. Moore's role is that of activist Gloria Steinem who founded 'Ms Magazine' and published an article blaming Lovelace's husband for coercing her into the adult film industry. The news is a rare piece of positivity in the star's life at the moment as last year closed out with her watching ex-husband Ashton cavorting on the red carpet with his 'New Year's Eve' co-star Lea Michele and then out partying in Berlin with three unnamed women.
Linda Lovelace - real surname Boreman - died in 2002 aged 53 after an automobile accident, an echo of an event that took place in 1970 in New York. Meeting husband Chuck Traynor during that time, she found herself shot to unexpected mainstream fame after appearing in the controversial porn film 'Deep Throat' in which she performed the eponymous act, uncommon in adult films of the time. In later life she admitted that it was Traynor who controlled and forced her into the industry, eventually denouncing her career and joining the anti-pornography movement.
