Demi Lovato - Demi Lovato Thanks Fans But Remains In Treatment Facility
DEMI LOVATO, the American actress and singer-songwriter, has thanked fans for their support during a "difficult time" but remains in a treatment facility where she is receiving help for "emotional and physical issues", reports the New York Daily News. The 18-year-old was absent from Wednesday's (5th January 2011) People's Choice Awards, despite winning an award.
Lovato scooped the prize of 'Favourite TV Guest Star' for her performance in one episode of medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy' last May and her movie 'Camp Rock 2' was also named 'Favourite Family TV Movie'. However, due to Lovato's absence, CBS chose not to broadcast either announcement during the live show. Following the ceremony, the 18-year-old took to her Facebook page to thank fans for their support, saying, "I wish to thank all the friends and fans who voted for me for the People's Choice Awards and the Hot Hits Hottest Teen Stars of 2010", adding, "I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all".
Back in October 2010, the actress and singer shut down her Twitter account, left the JONAS BROTHERS' concert tour and checked into rehab. A spokesman at the time said she was seeking help for emotional issues that had plagued her for months.
