Rocker GAVIN DeGRAW is hoping to represent his native U.S. at the Olympic Games in China later this year (08) - he has written a song which he hopes will become America's official theme tune for the event.
The 31-year-old's track is under consideration by U.S. officials and if he is successful, the song will be played for the national team at the two-week games in Beijing, China, this summer (08).
And DeGraw is confident that his offering will be chosen for its upbeat sound.
He says, "I've written a song called Free for the U.S. Olympic team. It's got this really positive message so hopefully they'll use it as the official song."
