The pair first met when they were both students at New York University in the 1990s, and tied the knot in 2000 after dating for eight years. Debra's representative explained, "The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family". She rose to fame playing interior designer Adler on Will and Grace, one of America's biggest sitcoms and a show that earned a total of 16 Emmy Awards and 83 nominations during its eight year run. Debra's husband Daniel is credited as co-creator and executive producer of FX series 'Damages' and also co-wrote the 2008 romantic comedy 'Fool's Gold', starring Matthew Mcconaughey and KATE HUDSON.
