Death Of Sylvester Stallone's Son Passed To Robbery Homicide
Robbery Homicide handles high profile cases, and with Sage being the son of one of the world's most famous actors - this case qualifies. Sources say that it is likely to take around 4 weeks to determine the exact cause of death, though it's extremely likely that it will now be either classified as an accidental death, or death from natural causes. As Tmz.com had previously reported, a number of pill bottles were found in Sage's bedroom where he died, though it is not clear whether they were linked to the death. A housekeeper found Sage's body on Friday (July 15, 2012), despite being under strict instructions not to enter his room under any circumstances. She eventually decided to check on the actor and filmmaker after his mother had complained of not being able to get in touch with him. His father, Sylvester, was busy promoting his forthcoming movie 'The Expendables 2' at Comic-Con when news of Sage's death began to break. He has since issued a statement pleading for privacy, saying, "When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha", adding, "This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives.Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace".
An autopsy was completed on Monday (July 16, 2012), though the results of toxicology tests are likely to take weeks.
