Oscar-nominated director David O. Russell is auctioning off the chance for an aspiring actor to star in his new movie to raise money for charity.
Russell is reuniting with his Silver Linings Playbook stars Jennifer Lawrence, who won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in the film, and Bradley Cooper in the as-yet-untitled movie, set in 1970s New York.
The lucky winner will have a speaking walk-on role and will get to meet and greet the stars on set. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the Kenny Gordon Foundation, a charitable organisation that raises cash for various causes including education scholarships for underprivileged youngsters.
The cameo role, which is being auctioned on the CharityBuzz website, is expected to raise at least $50,000 (£33,000) before it closes on 28 March (13).
