David Blaine's next stunt will be to spend three days and three nights standing in the middle of a million volts of electric currents, reports The Wall Street Journal.

David Blaine - Electrified: One Million Volts Always On will take place at Pier 54 on New York's West Side. It will see him stand in the middle of a network of tesla coils that will be streaming a million volts. "I don't know how I could ever top this," the magician said. "This is an overly-ambitious idea, and I'm literally shocked that it came together. This is one of the craziest things that I ever dreamed up, and I don't know how I could go beyond it." For the stunt, Blaine will wear a chainmail bodysuit, a wire helmet, a visor to shield his eyes, and hearing protection for his ears. The air he is breathing will be monitored. "I'll mostly be relaxing, meditating and playing with my daughter ... and trying not to deprive myself of sleep," he said of the preparation for his latest stunt. He'll need his rest too, as he won't be sitting down for three days and three nights. And as for toilet breaks, well, let's just say he's hoping his fast will negate bodily waste.

Whilst he's never been afraid to take absurd risks for the cause of entertainment, this one is perhaps the biggest, considering it's the first 'trick' he's undertaken whilst being a father. Blaine's 20-month-old daughter won't really have a clue what's going on, but hopefully they can watch footage of the stunt together when she's old enough.
