Dj Dave Lee Travis - Dave Lee Travis Quizzed On New Sex Abuse Claims
13 March 2013Veteran British Dj Dave Lee Travis has been arrested and quizzed about a string of new sex abuse allegations dating back to the 1970s.
The former BBC Radio 1 star was first held by cops in November (12) after two claims were made about him to investigators probing abuse allegations against late presenter Sir Jimmy Savile.
The Dj later angrily denied any wrongdoing, but he was re-arrested on Monday (11Mar13) following a new tide of complaints which were made in the wake of the initial scandal.
Lee Travis was later released and will be informed next month (Apr13) whether any charges will be brought.
Cops launched a wide-ranging probe into allegations of sex abuse by high-profile British stars following the unmasking of radio legend Savile as a serial paedophile following his death aged 84 in 2011.
Others arrested as part of the investigation include shamed former pop star Gary Glitter, and comedians Freddie Starr and Jim Davidson.
