Dave Grohl - Dave Grohl's Sound City Players Shut Down Hollywood

06 March 2013

The group, featuring Grohl's Foo Fighters bandmates, Rick Springfield, John Fogerty, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen and Krist Novoselic, turned a Tv spot on U.S. late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! into a street gig.

The band, formed to promote Grohl's directorial debut Sound City - about the fabled Los Angeles recording studio, performed a rendition of Fogerty's Fortunate Son and an original track titled The Man That Never Was.

The supergroup has also performed in London and New York since making its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in January (13).

Grohl and his bandmates will be performing at the South By South West festival in Austin, Texas next week (14Mar13).
