Dave Chappelle Apologises For 'Bad Attitude' At Stand-up Show

Comedian Dave Chappelle has apologised for his "bad attitude" after refusing to tell jokes at a stand-up show in Florida on Friday (22Jul11).

The funnyman stunned fans at the Summer Groove charity event in Miami when he declined to perform after complaining about members of the audience filming him. Chappelle was seen checking his cell phone texts and sighing audibly, prompting the crowd to boo him.

But Chappelle was in good spirits when he returned to the stage for the second night of the gala on Saturday (23Jul11).

He apologised for his "bad attitude" the previous evening and even poked fun at himself during his 10-minute appearance.

A reporter from Miami.com tweeted during the show, "The second try better than the first. No hecklers and Dave Chappelle doing well... time to call it a comeback."
