Dappy Slammed Over Down's Syndrome Tweet
He wrote, "Ur a d*ckhead in your Hood you've never Been Known...I'll get your Face F*cked Down Syndrome". According to the UK's Sun newspaper, the message was quickly deleted, though it caught the attention of the Down's Heart Group charity. The organisation's information officer Sarah Smith told the newspaper, "People with Down's syndrome have such a lot to offer. There will be a lot of Dappy's fans who have Down's syndrome who will not be happy he used that term as a form of abuse". Dappy was also in the headlines recently after seemingly paying tribute to the murderer of headmaster Phillip Lawrence in a video, before apologising for it.
Dappy - real name Dino Costas Contostavlos - recently appeared at Guildford's Magistrates Court this week charged with affray. The rapper, and cousin of Tulisa Contostavlos - and three others - deny being involved in a petrol station bust-up. They were bailed until next month. Dappy releases his debut studio album 'Bad Intentions', on October 1, 2012. The record is released via Island Records and features the lead single 'No Regrets'.
