Former child star Danny Pintauro has accepted a marriage proposal from his boyfriend after a year of dating.
The star of U.S. sitcom Who's the Boss? and Wil Tabares became engaged during an anniversary dinner in Palm Springs, California on Wednesday (03Apr13).
Pintauro, who now serves as a restaurant manager in Las Vegas, tells UsMagazine.com, "He made a video, and in the video held up the box (with the ring). I looked up and he had it in his hand!"
The couple is now looking to the future, but 37-year-old Pintauro admits they will have to move out of Sin City if they are to legally exchange vows - and they have their sights set on California.
He says, "We live in a state, Nevada, that does not yet allow same-sex marriage. Our plan is to move to California once Prop 8 is overturned."
Proposition 8, the legislation banning same-sex marriage in the state, is currently a hot topic in Washington, D.C. as U.S. Supreme Court officials debate its constitutionality.
