Daniel Radcliffe - Daniel Radcliffe Picks Up Charity Hero Award

Daniel Radcliffe picked up a special award for his work with a suicide prevention charity on Monday night (27Jun11), and told of his pride at helping struggling teenagers.
The Harry Potter star is a huge supporter of the work carried out by the Trevor Project, a non-profit group dedicated to crisis support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youths.
He has appeared in public service announcements for the group since 2009 and was awarded the organisation's Hero Award in New York.
And the Brit is thrilled to be involved with a charity helping those struggling with their sexuality.
He tells Mtv.com, "The fact that I'm able to help with something like this makes me very, very proud. I'll say it again later, but the real heroes are the people who are staffing those call centres and picking up the phones saving lives every single day.
"It's wonderful that compassionate, brave people work at the Trevor Project and are ready to take calls 24 hours a day to help those people."
