Daniel Radcliffe did not attend the afterparty for the 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' premiere last night (07.07.11).
The English actor - who has played the titular character in the movies since he was 11 years old - attended the world premiere of the film in London's Trafalgar Square along with his cast members Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, but failed to make the farewell bash in London's Old Billingsgate Market.
Emma - who plays Hermione Granger in the movie series - and Rupert (Ron Weasley) both shed a tear at the event, which was also attended by cast members Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Felton, Alan Rickman, Evanna Lynch, Matthew Lewis and Bonnie Wright.
Despite his lack of appearance at the afterparty, Daniel - who had flown in from New York for the premiere - told the crowd: "I don't think the end of the story happens tonight because each and every person who will see this film will carry this story with them through the rest of their lives.
"A huge thank-you to all of you, first of all for giving me a job and Jo for letting him give me a job.
"Every opportunity I get from now on all goes down to the fact I got very, very lucky when I was eleven."
