Daniel Radclife To Play Beat Poet Allen Ginsberg?
Now, the UK's Guardian newspaper has reported that the actor - who recently topped Heat! Magazine's rich list for stars under 30 years of age - is in line to play the role of famous gay beat poet Allen Ginsberg in the independent film 'Kill Your Darlings', a film set in a 1940s New York where homosexuality was still very much a criminal act. The premise of the plot for the film - written and directed by John Krokidas - is expected to trace Ginsberg's introduction into Manhattan and his relationship with fellow beat writers of the time Jack Kerouac and Lucien Carr.
It's reported that Radcliffe pocketed some $40 million from the Harry Potter films, a tidy sum in anyone's language; thankfully though it doesn't seem to have dimmed his thirst in taking on new roles.
