Lincoln's voice was high-pitched and screechy. As unromantic as that sounds, I'm glad Daniel and Spielberg had the guts to make an honest portrayal, rather than what we would like it to be. You didn't do your homework. There IS evidence about the sound of Lincoln's voice.
