Daniel Craig Set To Play James Bond, Twice More

Daniel Craig has signed on to play James Bond in at least two more films, reports The Press Association.

Craig will reincarnate James Bond a minimum of five times, and will become the third most prolific Bond actor, coming in behind Sean Connery. Roger Moore remains the actor to play the secret agent the most times, with seven films under his belt. Craig has already acted in three bond films, Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace and Skyfall; the latter in the Bond franchise is due for release on October 26th. Three days before, the film will be given a royal premiere attended by the Prince of Wales at the Royal Albert Hall. Daniel and Dame Judi Dench, who returns as M, will grace the premiere along with other stars such as Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw. Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes will also be in attendance.

Craig has embraced the role of the modern, darker Bond, and his offer to appear as hero twice more represents a successful portrayal of the fictional British icon. In fact, he’s been so popular, the small blue trunks – actually labelled large – have been given a 2k to 3k estimation as part of a James Bond charity auction to mark the 50th anniversary of the 007 film franchise. "We hope to make memorabilia from the 23 Bond films accessible to all," explained auction director Nicolette Tomkinson.
