Dancing With The Stars Saves Kirstie Over Kendra

Dancing With The Stars contestant Kendra Wilkinson was eliminated from the competition during last night's results show. Dancing With The Stars audiences opted to save Kirstie Alley and Romeo, who both received lower scores than the Playboy star on Monday (2nd May 2011).

According to the New York Daily News, Wilkinson looked "a bundle of nerves on the star-studded results show" but her elimination still came as a shock to viewers who had begun to support the 25-year-old after her recent breakthrough in the competition. After host Tom Bergeron announced that she would be leaving the show, Kendra spoke of her surprise at progressing to the latter stages, saying, "I've lasted seven weeks, and that's seven weeks longer than I thought I would last". She later hugged her partner Louis Van Amstel and said, "I'd like to thank, first and foremost, Louis. Secondly, I have to thank my family, Hank, for always being there for me, and my baby Hank". With Wilkinson now eliminated from the competition, it is Hines Ward and Chelsea Kane who look most likely to lift this year's trophy.

Last night's Dancing With The Stars results show featured live musical performances from the American rapper Nicki Minaj, British singer-songwriter James Blunt, songstress Priscilla Ahn and WAYNE BRADY.

Kristie really needs to GO...she has the facial expressions of a bulldog and cries about everything...this show is really hitting bottom.

I think Kendra did a great job. Kirstie, love you as an actress not so much as a dancer. I think Ralph has good moves, but I think the winner will be Chelsea.

For perhaps the third straight week, Kirstie Alley was spared from elimination when she should have been eliminated. It is not fair that Cheryl Burke and Chris Jericho and now Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel have to fall on the sword, when they were clearly better dance partners than Kirstie and Max will ever be. No disrespect for Max, but there is only so much you can get out of Kirstie in the limited time left in the competition and you will never get enough out of her for her to be any good by the end of this season competition. It is simply not fair that John Travolta and whoever else is helping Kirstie remain on the show be allowed to jam the phone lines in votes for her when she just isn't any good! When it gets down to the nitty gritty serious portion of the competition, the audience votes should be cast to the waste side or no longer allowed.Let the performances and the judges scores determine who stays or who goes as well as who wins the competition at this point. Is this not a reality show?If it is a reality show, it is reality that Kirstie Alley has any chance of winning it all on her own merit?I don't think so, but who I am, right?Let's get serious and let's get real here, shall we?Steven A.
