Dancing With The Stars - Dancing With The Stars Finale Sees Tied Leaderboard

Dancing With The Stars contestants lit up the dance-floor with their final routines on Monday (23th May 2011), leaving the leader-board tied heading into tonight's results show. Dancing With The Stars' final three were asked to perform a first round of 'judge's choices' and a second round of freestyle routines during the tense season finale.
Disney star Chelsea Kane was described as "an ultra-sexy bombshell" by Bruno Tonioli and she scored full marks for her energetic freestyle routine, which featured some unconventional choreography from partner Mark Ballas. Nfl star Hines Ward donned a top hat for this week's judges choice routine, and his quick step performance was lauded by the judges. Tonioli exclaimed, "It was like watching a mega production on Broadway", while Carrie Ann Inaba noted, "You make it like you're running for a touchdown and the whole crowd is cheering for you and following you around the ballroom, I forget I'm judging a show!". The final pair of the evening, actress Kirstie Alley and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, fell short of their competitor's scores but were applauded for their crowd pleasing freestyle. Carrie Ann told Alley, "You're like the poster-child for life as it should be lived at 60 years old".
The Dancing With The Stars winner will be announced during tonight's results show, with Chelsea Kane or Hines Ward regarded as equal favourites. Both competitors have dominated the leader-boards since week one of the competition.
