The final of Dancing With The Stars season eleven gets underway tonight (22nd November 2010), with the underdog Bristol Palin looking to steal the title away from favourite Jennifer Grey and fellow finalist Kyle Massey. 20-year-old Palin has continuously avoided elimination despite finding herself at the bottom of the leader-board on numerous occasions, and various sources are suggesting she may now win the entire competition.
Speaking to USA Today, professional dancer Louis Van Amstel suggests that if Palin receives the same amount of public votes that has helped her to the final, she could be announced as the winner, he said, "It totally depends on what the judges are going to do. We know what the people are going (to do). People are voting for her". Van Amstel added that if Palin's judges scores are close to that of Grey's and Massey's then "she's going to win or be second. If they push her down, she's going to be third". Palin will be looking to deliver a strong routine in tonight's final, and Van Amstel admits that "It's really up for anybody to win".
The show's executive CONRAD GREEN has defended the voting process that will be used to decide this year's winner, telling Entertainment Weekly, "There are tons of checks done by every one of our vendors - the phone people, the text people and the internet people.. I'm very confident the votes that are getting through are valid".
