Remember when, back in 2011, Jesse Sloan came out on the television show Live! With Regis and Kelly and popped the big question to Dancing With The Stars Carrie Ann Inaba? It was a tremendous moment of television, with Sloan saying "I've struggled to find the words to express what you mean to me. You're an inspiration, you're beautiful, you're wonderful, you're everything to me. Will you marry me?" As we watched we hugged, we cried, we wondered if one day we might also propose to Carrie Ann Inaba.

Well, those chances have just widened considerably, because it turns out that the DWITS star has called off the engagement and gone solo. So much for that fairy-tale then. It's not all doom and gloom, the pair are still friends according to a rep who spoke to E! Online, but as for the wedding we were all looking forward to? Gone, not happening, dead in the water etc. our hearts can blacken again.

Before that, Inaba was dating dancer Artem Chigvintsev, a former So You Think You Can Dance Contestant. With a new season of Dancing With The Stars back again this autumn, we wonder whether she'll once again find love with a work colleague?
