Damon: 'Gia Opens Up My Heart'

Damon's wife Luciana Barroso gave birth to the couple's second child, Gia Zavala Damon, last month (20Aug08).

And The Bourne Identity star is sure that fatherhood has changed his life.

He says, "It probably influences me in ways I'm not even aware of. I think certainly once you have kids it's hard not to see your child in every other child that you meet. And when you see the way a lot of children live in the world it makes you very angry as a parent."

But Damon, who is also dad to two-year-old Isabella and Alexa, Barroso's 10-year-old daughter from a previous marriage, can't decide what he loves most about being a new father again.

He adds, "Well that's a tough question because there's a lot to love about it. It's probably the indescribable way that a new child opens up your heart. It sounds kinda corny but it's true.

"She smiles now... mostly when she goes to the bathroom. That's natural."
