Damon Dash - Damon Dash Accused Of Selling Alcohol Without A Licence
Rap mogul Damon Dash has been accused of selling alcohol at his New York art gallery without a licence.
Jay Z's former business partner opened Dd172 in Tribeca in 2009, housing a photography and recording studio, an art gallery, and rehearsal spaces for bands.
But now Dash and his associates have been accused of six counts of storing and selling alcoholic beverages without a licence after investigators found workers selling liquor at the venue on several occasions, according to the Village Voice.
Dash, who reportedly vacated the building in June (11), is due in court on 14 September (11) to face the charges.
The news comes after it was revealed last month (Aug11) that Dash owes more than $2 million (£1.25 million) in unpaid taxes.
