Ol Parker - Dakota Fanning Thanks Co-stars With Gifts

Director Ol Parker has praised Dakota Fanning's old-fashioned manners for bringing a positive atmosphere to the set of their dark new movie Now Is Good.

The War of the Worlds star plays a young girl dying of leukaemia in the emotional film, but she cheered up her castmates and crewmembers by presenting them all with gifts and handwritten thank-you notes.

Parker tells British newspaper The Guardian, "I've never heard of anyone else who gives presents to every member of the cast and crew, and sends handwritten letters at the end of the shoot to every head of department telling them what they mean to her."
