Daft Punk Announce New Album Title

If you, like many, have been eagerly anticipating the return of Daft Punk, you can breathe easy.

No, they haven’t actually released the album just yet, but at least we have an official release date for you. Drumroll please… it’s May 21st in the US and May 17th in Australia. And that’s not all – the officially official name of the record (no leaks this time) has been announced: Random Access Memories. Confirming the information from a leaked Sony registration form earlier this month, the album will feature 13 tracks in total and will be released on the imprint Daft Life Limited through Columbia Records.

But wait, we haven’t even gotten to the best part yet. It’s already available for pre-order on iTunes. Preordering the album means that you will get a copy of each track downloaded straight into your iTunes library on the respective release date for your country or region (a complete list of release dates is provided below). So the only remaining question is – will you be preordering Random Access Memories, or leaving Daft Punk back in the 80s?

Daft Punk, O2 Wireless Music Festival
Despite the pause between albums, Daft Punk haven't taken a hiatus from performing.
