Cyrus' Tattoo Tribute To Dead Friend

MILEY CYRUS has had a tattoo inked on her chest in a heartfelt tribute to a pal who died of cystic fibrosis in 2007.

The Hannah Montana star's friend Vanessa passed away at the age of 12 and Cyrus has previously thanked Jonas Brothers singer Nick Jonas for helping her through the tragedy.

Now she's made a lasting memorial to her lost buddy, by having the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's motto "Just Breathe" tattooed below her left breast.

But the touching gesture has brought about its own controversy - several commentators are speculating whether 17 year old Cyrus broke the law with the body art.

U.S. legislation prohibits tattoos for the under-18s - but some states allow younger teens to have body art if they have written consent from their parents.

	I think Miley getting a tattoo in honour of her friend is a very honorable gesture, Just because Miley is in the public eye means she get scrutinised by the media and others is not fair it was a really nice thing that miley done to remember her friend, why put a nagitive spin on it is beyond. Miley is wonderful

	I just wanted to clarify there was a typo on my post. I meant to say that she is a Disney Star and is NOW making her own way under her own name of Miley and not Hannah Montana. Sorry for the typo.

	PLEASE LEAVE MILEY ALONE! She is growing up she is not a child any more! Yes she is a Disney star and is not making her own way. For all of you who judge look in the mirror at yourself before you make criticizing remarks. She is in the public eye that is why everyone gives her a hard time, give her a break. Don't you think she consults with her parents with what she does? They have a very open relationship and they talk about things. Miley doesn't go behind her parents back. Miley, I wish that we could meet you somehow some way! We have been to your Wonderland Concert in Tampa and have been out to see you at Disney World last year for the Christmas taping. We even flew out to California for your Sweet 16 party at Disneyland. You are a truly a role model and you are blessed. Keep your head up and don't listen to what other people say!!!!!
