Miley Cyrus has been granted a temporary restraining order against a crazed fan who was arrested on Tuesday (04Aug09) on an attempted stalking charge.
Mark MCLeod, 53, was taken into custody by Georgia police after he was spotted loitering around the set of the superstar's new movie The Last Song.
His arrest came just weeks after he was cautioned by cops for making "inappropriate comments" to young Cyrus fans. On that occasion, in June (09), MCLeod was set free because authorities claimed there was no room for him in jail and they didn't consider him a threat to himself or others.
But the veteran fan's latest actions have left Cyrus spooked and she has appealed to a judge in Georgia's Superior Court of Chatham County to ban MCLeod from getting close to her.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ.com, the Hannah Montana star was granted her wish on Wednesday (05Aug09).
As per the terms of the restraining order, MCLeod must not "harass, threaten, molest, contact or attempt to contact, or in any other manner interfere with Cyrus, any member of her family, her friends, and fellow employees".
Meanwhile, MCLeod's bail has been set at $50,000 (£33,330) following a separate court appearance on Wednesday.
