Cyndi Lauper - Cyndi Lauper: 'I Want My Song Pulled From Political Campaign'

Cyndi Lauper has reacted with fury after learning her track True Colors has been used without her permission in an American political advert.
The song features in a campaign "trashing" Mitt Romney, the Republican Party's presidential candidate, and the Time After Time hitmaker is angry about the unauthorised use of the tune.
Lauper insists she doesn't want her song "used in that way", and has taken to her page to vent her frustration.
In a series of posts, she writes, "Got a phone call saying my version of True Colors was used in commercial trashing Romney.
"1st, I never approved it. Not that I his (sic) a supporter, I'm not. But I wouldn't have wanted that song to be used in that way. I think... Whoever used my song should have asked, and 2, realized that Mr Romney can discredit himself without the use of my work.
"We are checking it out and will have it taken off."
